Louver is the late blind fortune teller of Latomi village. Luba was the only villager who sympathized with Femicia/Ivy over her being a starless tamer. She educated Ivy in survival and provided her with food and supplies to escape. She theorized and talked to Femicia about the starless & weak people who have worked and lived happy lives in the past without stars or even skills. After her passing, the villagers placed a bounty on Femicia—believing that she inflicts curses on others and that Luba's passing was a result of the curse, which is nothing more than a lie by the Idiot Village Head.

Because the village head doesn't like it when people give her attention but him, he refused to give her the medicine for her illness out of spite for siding with a starless child. In reality he just wanted to get rid of her out of jealousy and spite so he could take all the attention he desired. Her death, however, left the Latomi village on the brink of extinction as the crops turned barren and the Zaro fruits turned rotten/inedible. Multiple villagers eventually started abandoning their homes when they could no longer stand the Idiot Village Head and his delusions of grandeur.

Personality

Louver is a nice old lady who treats Femicia, who now goes by the name Ivy, with kindness and respect, even though she's starless. She believed that in the past, people worked and lived happy lives without stars or skills. She theorizes that not having certain skills or stars is not as bad as their people believed and doesn’t know why things changed. She saved and cared for the Zaro Fruits with her fortune-telling skill. She doesn’t like the Village Head due to his delusional beliefs about weak and starless people, including Ivy.

History

Louver helped save and protect the Zaro Fruits with her fortune-telling and knew when to harvest them. She met a young girl named Femicia, who was then disowned by her family, grew to hate her, and was banished from the village for being starless. She was the only person who was nice to Ivy, as she knew long ago people worked and lived happy lives without stars or skills. When Louver fell ill, she needed help; however, the village head denied her any medicine that could’ve saved her. As a result, she ended up dying from the cold.

She also used the skill to see Ivy's future and knew what she was going to go through and decided to help her, as she already knew that Ivy wasn't evil or a bad omen.
