Ivy is the protagonist of the series, a girl reborn in another world. She has clear light blue hair and golden eyes. She lived a healthy life with her parents and siblings in the village of Latomi, but her life changed drastically when she was given a "tamer" skill with no stars from God in Latomi Village Church at the age of five and her Star Ceremony. Where people hold multiple skills and are ranked with at least one star, and their lives are almost entirely determined by their aptitude. Those without a star do not even have that minimum guarantee, and are said to have been abandoned by God. She was born into a life with a weak class and weak rank.

For this reason, she is completely abandoned by her pious father who is blinded by skills and stars and could not see his daughter's true power or value. and shunned by her mother and siblings (only Feton completely, before Fecilla was also mistreated soon afterwards) who are also blinded by stars. The only person in the village who cares for her is an old woman "Louver" who is a fortune teller, and she teaches her about life and how to live in the forest as she learns people without stars or skills worked and lived happy lives in the past. Three years later, however, the village chief refuses to give medicine to the fortune teller when she falls ill, and Ivy is forced to wear the clothes from the dump simply because she is runaway from the village who hated her for being starless and now wanted her dead while blaming her for the death of Louver. In order to survive on her own, she follows the fortuneteller's will and leaves the village to begin her journey. On her journey, she uses the power of tamer for the first time and makes Sora her friend.

As the story progresses, it's revealed the current headman of Ivy's village is a shortsighted idiot; enforcing the bigotry that drove Ivy off and ignoring the advice of the fortune teller, leading to the village's decline. He brands any villagers who desert as criminals and tries desperately to maintain his power and his reputation. Many other villages and cities are supportive to Ivy over the Head as they called him an idiot. Ivy's older sister, Fecilla was also mistreated and falsely accused by her family and the Village Head for being weak. The Head, Ivy's family and whatever left of Latomi's residents were sentenced to a mine as slaves by the Latome Village's knights who were notified by Ivy's sister, Fecilla while disowning her parents and brother as her family, while Fecilla was taken under the wing of Oguto.

She meets Druid, a former mid-rank adventurer from Oll Town and saves his life after a monster attack with the help of Sora. then Durid accompanies Ivy on her journey and later he with the help of Lord Foronda comes to the decision to adopt Ivy becoming her stepfather.

Appearance[]

She has clear light blue hair and golden eyes.

Personality[]

Ivy is a smart, resourceful, and intelligent girl who uses whatever she finds in the trash as tools for survival. Ivy is kind, sweet, caring and polite and makes friends easily. She feels insecure about her past in Latomi Village due to her being starless and weak tamer.

History[]

Ivy (formerly Femicia) is a girl reborn in another world, where people hold multiple skills and are ranked with stars; however, she only has the no-star Tamer skill, which is seen as the root of all evil bent on sending nothing but misfortune to the entire village, and thus she is hated, abused and abandoned by her once loving family for it, forcing Ivy to decide to live in the forest; however, the local fortune teller takes pity on Ivy, educating and supplying her, using that, as well as her survival skills she learned from her previous life, to run away after the fortune teller passes years later after she fell ill, Ivy leaves the area and finds a weak, dying slime; she tames it, naming her new familiar Sora. Unknown to villagers nor the headman who enforced bigotry, no stars meant the skill didn't have a limit. Ivy is actually the most capable Tamer of all because she have to survive without relying on stars. As the story progresses, it's revealed the current headman of Ivy's village is a shortsighted idiot; enforcing the bigotry that drove Ivy off and ignoring the advice of the fortune teller, leading to the village's decline. He brands any villagers who deserted as criminals and tries desperately to maintain his power and his reputation. She meets Druid, a former mid-rank adventurer from Oll Town and saves his life after a monster attack with the help of Sora. then Durid accompanies Ivy on her journey and later he with the help of Lord Foronda comes to the decision to adopt Ivy becoming her stepfather.

In anime, Ivy is kicked out of her home on the same day she is discovered to be starless and kicked out of the village by the villagers as well. Louver who found her collapsed in the cave hideaway.

Powers and Abilities[]

A tamer with the weakest skills given by the gods. Ivy decides to leave the village to start traveling while evading pursuers from her village who want to harm her because she's a starless child. Discovering monsters, she can tame while traveling! Slimes that are weak enough to die if you poke them, only weak slimes. A lot of things are dropped on the way. When she picks them all up, something amazing happens. Ivy's previous incarnation was an experienced gamer from the real world and sometimes sees things coming before she does, such as needing to build her stamina and warning her to prepare for the worst after her parents' reaction to finding out she's starless.

Ivy's powers were immeasurable by that method and exploded the bubble at church.

Although Ivy has very little magic to her name it's enough to make her able to sense the presence of others and how dangerous they are, which seems to be something anyone can do. However, because of her low reserves, if she casts even one spell, she cannot use this ability until her magical power restores itself. Years of experience living in the forest have made Ivy able to hide her presence very well, which saves her life on numerous occasions.

As a starless, Ivy's got practically no magic to her name, even for her Taming job. Theoretically, one should be able to increase their magical power and their reserves of magic with practice, but that either doesn't work for Ivy (and she's tried, as you might imagine) or the improvement is so insignificant she hasn't noticed.

Magic[]

These three magics are everyday magic that anyone can use. From around the age of 5, Ivy used life magic to increase the amount of magical power and train so that she doesn't have to worry about everyday life.

LIFE MAGIC:

  • Creating fire & Producing water
  • Removing dirt (Cleanse)

Ivy has a better understanding of the situation around her, and because of this, she can adapt to survive. Ivy's past experiences have given her the ability to detect danger or unsavory circumstances. However, because of her low reserves, if she casts even one spell, she cannot use this ability until her magical power restores itself. "Slowly look around the world and broaden your horizons. And be strong slowly. Because then you'll be happy. However, it is no good to rush because you want to be happy. If you rush, you will go in the wrong direction. Don't be afraid to interact with people. There are people in this world who have different ideas. Learn it slowly. Believe in yourself."

― Louver to Ivy

Louver is the one who found Ivy in the forest. She watched Ivy's situation in the forest with 《Prediction》. Thinking that it would be necessary in the future, she handed over an inferior Magic Bag containing several books (World Book), degraded potions of each color, and a knife. On the advice of the fortune-teller and the voice of her past self, Ivy allows people to think she's a boy.

Teachings of the fortune teller, Louver:

  • Reading and writing, simple calculations.
  • How to speak and interact with people.
  • How to gather information, materials, and cook.
  • What kind of human behavior is dangerous
  • A few books that were in the Inferior magic bag.
  • How to recognize food, poisonous plants, how to trap prey, degraded potions, and small knives for each color.

Ivy's past self exists as a voice in her head who sometimes speaks to her. As a no star tamer, the weakest slime is probably the only monster Ivy can tame. Said slimes are rare and normally die quickly, so fragile that even rain and wind can kill them. But after being tamed and fed stale potions by Ivy, Sora steadily grows stronger and develops abilities normal slimes do not have.

Skill[]

《Tamer ###》Because of being starless skill it ignores the requirements of the world when being tame to the monster.

  • 《Tamer ☆》It can tame small animals.
  • 《Tamer ☆☆》It can tame 2 to 5 slimes.
  • 《Tamer ☆☆☆》It can tame 1 monster beast.
  • 《Tamer ☆☆☆☆》It can tame 2 monster beast (Demonic Beast).
  • 《Tamer ☆☆☆☆☆》It can tame 1 Divine beast.
  • 《Tamer ☆☆☆☆☆☆》-???-

Taming Method:

  • Two methods are listed in the book she got from the fortune teller.
    • Give a little magical power to the monster, and when it is accepted, the light will appear. Say the name, then name the monster.
    • Declare by forcefully pushing down (Recommended for ☆3 or higher).
  • If both are successful, a mark will appear. Tamers are supposed to be able to speak to their animals and sense their intentions, but Ivy can't do this with Sora (as far as she can tell). Whether or not this is because she's starless or due to Sora's peculiar qualities is unclear.

《###》At the beginning of the story there is a hidden skill that may become some latter on or may have something to do with her reincarnation into this new world only time will tell.

Equipment[]

Potions[]

There is a regular version and a degraded version. Efficacy varies depending on the color. Ivy always gave the potion to Sora and the other 2 slimes to dissolve the unusable potions from the trash, the slime will gain skills from the potion (healing & cure).

  • Blue: Cures wounds
  • Red: Heals illnesses
  • Green: Reduces pain
  • Purple: Removes curses

Although it's unclear what exactly making a potion entails, blue potions in particular are implied to be incredibly easy to create, considering they teach children how to craft them for practice and even these throw-away potions have some efficacy. Ivy doesn't know how to make potions herself (yet?), but she does know about healing herbs which are better than nothing and help stretch out her supply.

Bottle Type[]

  • There are three types, from first-class to third-class. The difference is the transparency and thickness of the bottle.
  • First-class glass is uniform, and how light enters is stable.
  • Second-class -???-
  • Third-class -???-

Magic bag[]

  • The regular version has a time-stop function. Purchase required. It seems that the regular rare version has something inside the magic bag that can hold a magic bag full of contents.
  • There is no Inferior version time-stop function. It is often discarded and can be picked up at a dump site. It is easy to see the contents when putting things in and out. It is necessary to check each one because the capacity that can be put in and whether or not the weight of the put item is reduced is different for each.

Magical Water Bucket[]

Tent[]

Magic purse[]

Don't be fooled by its size, placing money inside makes it impossible for people to see, very practical when carrying large sums.

Trivia[]

  • The first name Ivy has its roots in the Celtic language. It comes from the word “yv” which means “yew” or “shrub”. It is also found in English where it means “ivy”.
  • During her time in Otorwa Ivy now realized Latomi Village is the only village in Ordoguz where the villagers believed that the starless people are bad omen and brings ruins all because the Village Head ,who is blinded by stars and skills, enforced his delusional beliefs on them.
  • Whenever Ivy hears her past self talk in the anime, a soft ting sound goes off to signal it. She then repeats whatever the voice told her in verbatim.
